Imagine this, a man walks into a room, on his hand is a Rolex Day-Date from the 80s<\/strong>, on his shoulders a raincoat that once saved his life. He is Giorgio Giangiulio<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Italian fashion influencer, men's fashion consultant and model known for his style that represents classic Italy. His passion for fashion developed in childhood, inspired by his father's style and the icons of the golden age of men's fashion. Today, he is one of the most recognizable representatives of classic men's fashion on social media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Instagram, where he is followed by around 269,000 people, Giorgio not only shows off his fashion combinations, but his profile (@giorgiogiangiulio<\/a>) digital diary of tradition and men's style. His aesthetics feed <\/em>reflects deep respect for bespoke <\/em>craftsmanship, details and clothing culture, making it an inspiration for lovers of classic style around the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe\u201d trench coat<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If your clothes could tell a story, which piece in your closet would have the best story?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Giorgio Giangiulio: Honestly, I have a few, but one I'm particularly attached to is the old one Aquascutum raincoat<\/strong> which once belonged to Maestro Mario Caraceni<\/strong>. When he passed away, his son-in-law Carlo, the father of my best friend Max Caraceni, wanted to give it to me as a keepsake. It was a gesture that touched me deeply and I have kept it ever since. Mario used to tell me that during World War II<\/strong> captured by Allied troops who mistook him for a German soldier. He was wearing that same Aquascutum raincoat and it was thanks to that piece that, after a few days, an English soldier realized that he was not German. He was released, sparing him from execution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThat raincoat saved his life. Imagine what it must have meant to him from that moment on. I consider being the guardian of one of his raincoats priceless.\u201d \u2013 Giorgio Giangiulio<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

What "things" should a man never leave the house without?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Giorgio Giangiulio: Confidence. The kind that comes from knowing yourself, dressing with purpose, and moving through the world with intention. Italians understand that elegance is not just worn, it is embodied in character.<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fashion accessories<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If you had to build an entire outfit around one fashion accessory, what would it be?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI would say a tie. It actually happens quite often and I find it fun. I have so many ties and sometimes I wake up with a certain one in mind\u2026 and then I end up building an entire look around it.\u201d \u2013 Giorgio Giangiulio<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Giorgio Giangiulio: During a trip to Morocco, I was captivated by the wealth of inspiration, from Berber art to the vibrant colors of Marrakech and the beautiful kaftans in the Medina.<\/strong>. Curiosity allows us to shape our personal style, so I often find inspiration through travel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is the biggest misconception people have about dressing well?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Giorgio Giangiulio: That you have to spend a lot of money. That's absolutely not true. I've seen people terribly dressed in pieces worth thousands. Good taste has nothing to do with price.<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So it's no surprise that some of his favorite pieces are found at vintage markets rather than rare boutiques. And while others follow the rules, George<\/a> seems more interested in rhythm, like the way a well-fitting jacket moves with the body<\/strong>, i.e. the way in which proportions shape the appearance of a person and the like.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cProper proportions are the most often ignored detail in a well-tailored suit. A suit should complement the body with the right balance of length and width.\u201d Giorgio Giangiulio<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

His inspiration<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

When we asked him about role models, his answer sounds like a movie roll call; Marcello Mastroianni, Gianni Agnelli, Julio Iglesias, Steve McQueen<\/em><\/strong> \u2026<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Giorgio Giangiulio: I could name many, almost all from the past. These men had a casual presence. They didn't just wear great clothes, they lived in them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The same presence permeates his favorite watch, a gold one. Rolex Day-Date President from the 80s<\/strong>, a watch he describes as one of the most beautiful ever made.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Giorgio Giangiulio: It is a true icon of that era, for which I have a deep passion and which I have studied extensively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When it comes to brand partnerships, one thing stands out:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBrijuni<\/a>, first of all. I'm really in love with the brand and its history. It represents one of the brightest stars Made in Italy.<\/em>\u201d \u2013 Giorgio Giangiulio<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

But despite his respect for tailoring, Giorgio is not rigid. He often combines tailored clothes with loose pieces like short-sleeved shirts under jackets<\/strong>. But sneakers with a suit? That's a hard no. I just can't stand them.<\/strong>, Giorgio tells us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Secret place<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

And when you need to get away from it all, George<\/a> retreats to a small restaurant on the Costa dei Trabocchi in Abruzzo, called Horseback<\/em><\/strong>, where mussels mingle with the blue sea. It's a place, he says, that you only share with people who matter. A private corner of his world, quiet, beautifully lived, just like his style.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
